06/29/22 - El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association An El Paso nurse was arrested and accused of threatening police officers by saying he "would give them fentanyl to end their lives." Officers arrested 30-year-old Steven Holguin on Monday. Holguin was at the Cincinnati Entertainment District on Saturday. While being taken to the regional command he made threats against the officers. |

For this report, RWICs are persons responsible for providing on-track safety for members of a work group. Lone workers are persons responsible for providing on-track safety for themselves while working alone. |

06/28/22 - AMFA June 28, 2022 -- The Parties held a three-day bargaining session, June 21-23 at Company HQ, to commence Section 6 bargaining toward a successor collective bargaining agreement (CBA) for the FMT group. AMFA, at the outset of Day 1, passed a Section 6 opener document, which identified areas of the CBA AMFA intended to open for negotiation and which articles could carry forward to the new CBA without substantive changes. The Company did not deliver any similar document to AMFA. Following AMFA’s explanation of its openers, however, the Parties were able to tentatively agree that the following articles could remain “at book” during these negotiations and carry forward without substantive change to a new CBA... |

Verizon Contract Extension Bargaining
06/27/22 - CWA Local 2222 As previously announced, CWA and IBEW began meeting with Verizon in mid-May for a limited period attempting to negotiate terms of a possible extension to the Collective Bargaining Agreements, which are set to expire August 5, 2023. We passed a series of Economic and Non-Economic proposals that reflect your sacrifices during the COVID-19 pandemic and your hard-work as Essential Public Safety Workers who are also dealing with soaring cost of living expenses. Word was received late Friday night that the Postal Service has identified the issue that prevented the PSEs from receiving the additional 50 cents per hour pay on June 4, 2022. Unfortunately, they are going to have to do additional programming to complete to make sure they 50 cents is implemented. |
